Skin Types & Concerns

How the six scores describe oily, dry, combination, and reactive skin, plus acne, dark spots, and texture over time.

What Skin Types Does AISkincare Detect?

AISkincare detects five skin types from your AI scan: normal, dry, oily, combination, and sensitive. Your full scan result includes a skin type and confidence, and sometimes per-zone types (e.g. combination with oily T-zone and drier cheeks).

Skin type informs routine and product suggestions. You can also set or adjust your skin type in your profile if you know it from experience. The app uses both scan-based detection and your input to personalize routines and metrics interpretation.

How Are Skin Concerns Used?

Concerns (e.g. acne, aging, pigmentation, sensitivity) are used to tailor routines and recommendations. Your scan metrics — acne, redness, tone, texture — reflect these concerns and can be tracked over time.

You can have multiple concerns at once (e.g. acne + sensitivity). The app helps you build a routine that addresses each without overwhelming your skin. Use the symptom diary to log reactions and compare scans to see which concerns improve.

From Skin Type to Routine and Products

Once you know your type and concerns, use routine by skin type and routine by concern to build AM and PM routines. Add products from your shelf and use the ingredient checker to avoid ingredients that don't suit your type. Track progress to see if your metrics improve over time.
