How to Compare Scans

How to put two AISkincare scans side by side so you compare the same six scores, not two different lighting setups.

How Do I Compare Two Scans?

In the app, open Progress or your scan history and choose two scans to compare. You'll see overall score change and per-metric changes (e.g. hydration, texture, acne). Some views show a before/after style comparison so you can visualize improvement or change over time.

Comparing scans over weeks or months helps you see if your routine and products are working. Use the AI skin scanner regularly — at least weekly for full scans — to build a useful comparison history.

What Does the Comparison Show?

The comparison typically shows: overall skin score (before vs after), each of the six metrics (hydration, texture, tone, acne, pores, redness), and sometimes time between scans. You can see which metrics improved, stayed stable, or worsened. Use that to adjust your routine or product shelf — for example, if hydration dropped, consider a richer moisturizer or hydrating serum.

When to Compare

Compare after at least 2–4 weeks of consistent routine use so that changes have time to show up. Comparing day-to-day or week-one vs week-two can be noisy. For long-term trends, use the progress chart and filter by 30 or 90 days, then use the compare feature for specific before/after moments (e.g. before and after introducing retinol).
